Select the
Layers
panel.
Move the clipping mask object and the object that you want to mask into a layer
or group.
Move the clipping mask object above the object that you want to mask in the Lay-
ers panel or group.
Select the layer or group.
Click the
Make/Release Clipping Mask
button in the Layers panel.
Release Objects from a Clipping Mask
Do one of the following to release objects:
• Select the layer that contains the clipping mask in the Layers panel, click the
Make/Release Clipping Mask
button.
• Select the group that contains the clipping mask, click the
Object
menu, point
to
Clipping Mask
, and then click
Release
.
