Simplifying Paths
After you create a path, you can simplify it, which reduces the file size and makes it dis-
play and print faster. Simplifying a path removes extra anchor points without changing the
shape of the path. You can specify how you want Illustrator to reshape the path by using
the Curve Precision and Angle Threshold sliders.
Simplify a Path
Select the
Direct Selection
tool on the Tools panel.
Select the object with the path that you want to simplify.
