The swatch from a gradient library is automatically added to the Swatches panel,
where you can apply it to fills and strokes.
Creating Gradients
Instead of using one of Illustrator's built-in gradients, you can create your own by using
theGradient panel.It'seasyandyoucanbecreative intheprocess.Youcancreate agradi-
entwithtwoormorecolorsandaddtransparency.Therearetwotypesofgradients: Radial
(circular) and Linear (horizontal). After you create a gradient, you need to save it in the
Swatches panel in order to use it again later.
