Executive Summary:
Create a monitoring system for devices that will support real-time alerting via
pagers and deploy to production cluster.
Goals:
A monitoring system for our network:
• Be able to monitor at least 10,000 devices, 500 attributes each, collected each

• Must support real-time alerting via SMS.
• Must retain data for 30 years.
Non-goals:
• Monitoring external systems.
• Building chat functionality into the system.
