In-Depth Information
Sometimes automation eliminates the need for a process entirely. Typically load balan-
cers require manual configuration to add replicas. Many tools are available that make such
configuration easier or less error prone. However, a fully automated solution eliminates
the need for constant reconfiguration. We've seen systems where the load balancer is con-
figured once, and then replicas communicate their availability to the load balancer, which
includes them in its rotation. Rather than automating an existing process, this project elim-
inates the constant reconfiguration by inventing a new way to operate.
