750 meteorites that have been linked to asteroid 4 Vesta. These samples
represent crustal and shallow mantle lithologies, whereas deeper mantle
pieces (dunite and harzburgite) have been lacking in our collections. There
are only a few anomalous ultramafic meteorites that have been linked to 4
Vesta and the HED, and each newly found piece offers more insights into
the differentiation of this large asteroid.

QUE 93148 is a very small meteorite, but it has offered
much information nonetheless due to the variety of tech-
niques that can be applied to small samples. Mineralogic
studies using SEM, TEM, and EBSD have provided
important constraints on its formation history (left, [459]),
as have trace element measurements using SiMS and
the electron microprobe (right, [458]). QUE may have a
connection to pyroxene pallasites.
