Geotextile bags
Geotextile bags are geotextile containers, normally filled with sand, and with volumes
between 0.3 and 10 m 3 . If the volume of the bags is lower than 0.3 m 3 , then they are
normally referred to as sandbags (see Figure 3.1) and these are not covered in this
manual.

Geotextile bags are used in a variety of temporary and permanent structures.
