The porte cochere on the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Virginia is a 2000
square meter structure of PTFE/glass that serves as the entrance canopy. FTL of New
York, NY was involved as a consultant to HSSB (who, in turn, was a consultant to
HOK), both generating a new design and doing the engineering. Birdair of Amherst,
NY fabricated and installed the membrane, completing the structure (Figure 1-22) in

The Springs Preserve Visitor Center in Las Vegas, Nevada has displays and events
that focus on environmental conservation and sustainability in the desert. Its car park
employs photovoltaic elements that provide a significant portion of the energy
