Fig. 12.9 shows boxplots for accuracy (a) and times (b ) in the two
visualization conditions 2D and 3D. Mea n accuracy in 2D ( x =0.527) was
similar to, but slightly lower than in 3D ( x =0.551).
A Welch two-sample t-test with a hypothesis of equal means in the
different visualization conditions showed that this difference was not
significant (n=18, t=-0.4951, df=69.937, p-value=0.6221). In regard to
