Choose File > Place.

Navigate to the carrots.jpg file in the images folder inside the Lesson15 folder, and
select it. Make sure that Link is
selected
in the Place dialog box. Click Place.
By default, placed image files are linked to their source file. So, if the source file is
edited (outside of Illustrator), the placed image in Illustrator is updated. Deselecting
the Link option while placing embeds the image file in the Illustrator file.
The pointer should now show the loaded graphics cursor. You can see a number (1)
next to the pointer, indicating how many images are being placed, and a thumbnail, so
