• Drag the letter from the center down and to the left (a bit closer to the second “O” in
“ZOO”), into the position you see in the figure.
• Click and drag the upper-left point up until you see a Vertical Scale of 185%.

Click the letter “A” in “TALES.” Drag the letter straight to the left to make it closer to
the “T.” See the figure for placement. Try not to drag up or down. The measurement
label will show Baseline Shift: 0 pt.
Changing paragraph attributes
As with character attributes, you can set paragraph attributes, such as alignment or indenting,
before you enter new type or to change the appearance of existing type. If you select several
type paths and type containers, you can set attributes for them all at the same time. Most of
this type of formatting is done in the Paragraph panel, which you can access by clicking the
underlined word “Paragraph” in the Control panel or by choosing Window > Type >
Paragraph. Below are the formatting options available in the Paragraph panel.
