name. Click the Artboards panel tab to collapse the panel group.
2. Select the Selection tool ( ). Click to select the bicycle shape on the left. Choose
Object > Hide > Selection. Click to select the remaining bicycle shape.
3. Choose Edit > Copy, and then choose Edit > Paste In Front to paste a copy directly on
top of the original.
4. Select the Shear tool ( ), nested within the Scale tool ( ) in the Tools panel.
Position the pointer at the bottom of the bicycle shape, between the wheels, and click to
set the reference point.
5. Drag from the approximate center of the bicycle to the left, and stop when the sheared
copy looks like what you see in the figure. Release the mouse button.
Tip
You can also apply shear numerically in the Transform panel (Window >
Transform) or in the Shear dialog box (Object > Transform > Shear).
6. Change the Opacity value in the Control panel to 20% .
