Start at the trailhead at the levi vincent perry jr. jogging trail sign near the southwest
corner of Calhoun Road and South MacGregor Way. Head west with Brays Bayou on the
right and South MacGregor Way on the left.

Pass large gated and fenced mini-mansions on the left (south) side. Continue following
the trail west.

Pass Cullen Boulevard on the left where it joins South MacGregor Way.

Bend slightly right and then follow the trail straight (west). You can see the Scott Street
bridge over Brays Bayou.

Turn right (north) at the stop sign at Scott Street and cross the bridge over Brays Bayou.
At the end of the bridge, turn right (east) back onto the trail to complete the loop. (Option:
The Hike and Bike Trail and Brays Bayou continue west for several miles if you wish to
extend the hike.)

Pass the Riverside United Methodist Church on the left (north). Continue following the trail
east.

Bear slightly left and pass a solitary park bench on the left side of the trail. Continue fol-
lowing the trail east.

The trail jogs around a large live oak tree on the right. University Oaks Boulevard is on the
left (north) where it joins North MacGregor Way.
