Chapter Nine — Adjustment Layers
Overview
We used three adjustment layers in the last chapter, but I wanted to go into a little more detail
about their use in this chapter. Adjustment layers are the primary way to add life to your
images and make them pop by altering the image's Histogram .
We will be using the image in Figure 44 as an example in this chapter. It took less than 4
minutes to transform the image on the left into the one on the right.
Before we get into the process of editing this photo, I want to spend a little time on the
broader topic of Adjustment Layers .
