Thanks to our efforts in Figure 58 and Figure 59 we now have a dull image with a nice
border, but it is much too big. The cover is a 300 ppi image. Even at that resolution, the
inset image is larger than the cover. What we really want is an image that is about 3 inches
high.
Figure 60 summarizes the process for resizing the image and adding it to the book cover
image.
Image > Image Size
Item 1 — Verifies that the image is larger than the cover at 300 ppi resolution.
Item 2 — Enter 3 inches for the height and resample the image.
Item 3 — Shows the reduced size relative to the original image.
We now have the image that we want and the size that we want but we need to move it to
the book cover file. We have three adjustment layers that we want to use. We could move
all four layers, but in this case it is probably best to consolidate them into a single image
layer.
