Duplicate Layers
There are several ways to duplicate (make a copy from) a layer in Photoshop. One of the
easiest is to just drag the layer to the
New Layer Icon
at the bottom of the layers panel. The
icon is highlighted in yellow in the enlarged view at the bottom of the image below.
You can also duplicate the
Active Layer
from the
Layer Menu
.
Layer > Duplicate Layer
When the
Duplicate Layer Window
pops up, just click OK or type in the name of the new
layer before clicking OK.
