an Example
An effective way of enhancing an object that will be the main focus within
an image is to reduce colors surrounding the main object. There are several
effective approaches.
For example, in the photo with the vintage '50s car in Miami, you could
highlight the car by making the houses in the background appear in black
and white.
Here's how:
• Open your optimized image,
miami-impro.tif
or
miami-impro.xcf
.
• Save the image as
miami-car.tif
.
• Create a path along the car's contour (or simply use the
Free Selection tool
to create a selection).
