Yoshinari et al. (47) immobilized bisphosphonates on calcium phosphate coatings on Ti
substrates prepared by IBD and showed that the initial adherence of bacteria (87) was sup-
pressed and the BIC values in the mandibles of beagle dogs were increased. (85) Coatings by
vapor deposition can be applied to surface modification of metallic biomaterials in combi-
nation with the immobilization of biomolecules.
