manufacturing
The process of making your prototype in mass.
manufacturing resource planning (MRP)
A software package that offers a scheduling

The hardware's source—that is, the design from which it is made—is available in the pre-
ferred format for making modifications to it.
P
panelization
Smaller PCB designs multiplied into a larger panel.
part library
A library of parts generated for PCB layout.
part PCB footprint
The footprint of the component on the PCB.
PCB layout
The process of converting a schematic into a physical PCB board.
plated through hole (PTH)
Components meant to be placed through the PCB board.
printed circuit assembly (PCA)
A PCB fully populated with components.
product definition phase
The phase of development where you nail down the specific
details of your purpose, resources, scope, and critical requirements.
