Data Visualized
One of the most important new features in the Streams Console is data
visualization . In addition to making live data available for external visu-
alization tools, live streaming data can be visualized directly in the
Streams Console. Tables and graphs can be extensively configured by
selecting and rearranging attributes from the tuples, as well as filtering.
Figure 6-5 shows a chart for the IBM ticker with VWAP , Min Price , Max
Price , and Average Price . (Our lawyers want us to mention that this is
old data from a sample application, so don't use these charts if you're a
day trader.)
The data visualization widgets found in Streams are very rich; see some
other examples in Figure 6-6.
