Programming Streams Made Easy
For the last several years, enterprises have been delighted by the speed, reli-
ability, and cost savings provided by Streams. Additionally, developers have
found that the analytic toolkits and programming tools provide a high level
of agility when building applications. However, it has been difficult for non-
programmers to use Streams—that is, until now.
Streams 3.0 is focused completely on ease of use . Streams 3.0 (herein simply
referred to as Streams) includes an integrated development environment
(IDE) that provides a drag-and-drop work-as-you-think programming expe-
rience, new operational and data visualizations, new analytic toolkits, new
management console features, and installation enhancements that all serve
to deliver a dramatically improved user experience. Not every company can
hire waves of new programmers, and this is why the consumability of the Big
Data platform is just as important as its capabilities.
