d) Organizational Structure
They have perception several changes in the organizational structure of the
organization, the decentralization of decision making and a change of the hierarchical
levels, because the structure has changed from a functional structure to a matrix
structure.
e) Technology
The organization has invested in the acquisition of new technologies, mainly
information and communication technologies.
f) Market and Product development
Better quality in products and services, in special in what respect to technical
specificities. They also referred the search for new markets as an important impact of
the innovation project.
g) Process
The unit cost of work has been reduced and the productivity capacity of the
organization has been growing, but few employee point out that productivity
flexibility get better.
h) Working practices
A better control of the projects, better planning and more autonomy in the
conception and implementation onsite phase.
Improvement of the working tools and equipment. A bigger openness and incentive
to dialogue. Other important impacts were the implementation of team work, making
working processes less complex and more rational.
i) Employee participation
They also point out some impacts in what respects to employee participation in the
organization processes, like in technical problem solving and participation in
meetings.
k) Environment
According to environment, the clients and suppliers proximity and a better capacity
to response to market solicitations are important variables to Beta Organization. They
are also concerned with the impact on environment. However they are not very open
to community and to other entities or even external partnerships.
l) Financial
They don't know if they have good financial impacts due from the innovation
project. They had a great 2005 year, the best of all times, but they don't know if it was
because of external factors like the market or if it was because of the changes they
made during the implementation of the innovation project.
After the implementation phase is important to analyses the several organizational
actors' perspectives about the knowledge creation and use process in Beta
Organization. The data collected in the groups recall make possible to point out some
relevant findings:
