2 Robot Control by Handheld Devices
The aim of work is to test selected applications for handheld devices in the pur-
pose of remote control of industrial robots. The work was limited to selected
non-dedicated for remote control application and Fanuc ArcMate 100iC robot.
The advantage of this type applications is they are much cheaper than any
commercial dedicated solutions and can be very flexibly fitted to the user re-
quirements. The tests shown that different applications can be customized to
the users individual needs.

In Fig. 1 the scheme of the integrated robot control systems by mean of
handheld devices is shown. It is a method of providing remote human-machine
interface in the industrial robots application, which could be also embrace other
industrial implementations.
