• elaboration of the diagnostic aid system (stage 5 and 6).

2.1 Analysing of the Industrial Network

The first stage involves a particular analysis of the industrial network, including:

• identification of the main knowledge sources (about the network),

• determination of the main features of the network components,

• determine the state features vector (SFV) for the considered network.

The flow chart of this stage is shown in Figure 1.

2.2 Identification of the Decision Variables

The second stage (Fig. 2) includes the analysis of the industrial network in relation to:

• determination of the basic criterion for choosing the decision variables,

• choice of the decision variables from the elements of the state features vector,

• assignment of the degree of importance for individual decision variables.
