The experimental results presented in this paper are just a small part of
thedataacquiredduringglobalinvestigationsoftheextraordinarypropertiesof
specialgranularstructures.Here,themainobjectiveistopresentaninitialprobe
intothepotentialoftheBodner-Partomviscoplasticmodel'sabilitytocapture
vacuum-packedparticlesmechanicalfeatures.Detailedanalysisofexperimental
results for granular structures under partial vacuum can be found in former
papersofauthors[15,16,17]orinrecentmonograph[19].
Theconsideredvalueofinternalunderpressureappliedinsidethesamplewas
0.09MPa(assumingunderpressurevalueequal0.1MPaasatechnicalvacuum).
Alotofexperimentalproblemswereencounteredwhilecarryingoutlabora-
torytestsonSGS.Theyaredescribedindetailin[19],andareconsequently
neglectedinthispaper.Uniaxialcompressiontestshavebeencarriedouttaking
intoconsiderationthreedifferentvaluesofstrainrates(Tab.1).
