2. INFORMATION FURNISHED BY MANUFACTURER
WHEN BIDDING
2.1 Basic Bid Information
In addition to the price and delivery information, the Manufacturer
shall furnish the following:
2.1.1 General dimensions : Documents must be provided for the general
dimensions of the pole structures, including the overall length,
above-ground height, tip and butt diameter, wall thickness, inside
and outside taper, pole weight, and groundline moment.
2.1.2 Strength : The Manufacturer must provide the 28-day concrete
static compressive strength and correlation factor used for the basis
of the pole designs (if not previously submitted and approved).
2.1.3 Exceptions : Any design exceptions taken in the preparation of the
bid must be stated by the Manufacturer.
2.1.4 Unit prices : The Manufacturer should be prepared to furnish unit
prices (on a per 5-ft increment) in the event that a deeper embedment
is required by the Purchaser.
2.1.5 Terms : Any other commercial terms, conditions, or information
the Manufacturer deems important to the Purchaser's evaluation
must be provided before the time of bidding.
3. INFORMATION FURNISHED BY MANUFACTURER
UPON RECEIPT OF AN ORDER AND PRIOR TO
STARTING PRODUCTION
3.1 Basic Approval Information
The Manufacturer shall furnish for approval by the Purchaser before
manufacturing is begun the detailed fabrication drawings, which shall
include:
3.1.1 Pole data : These are required to show length, tip and butt diam-
eter, tip and butt thickness, design weight, center of gravity, taper,
ultimate moment capacity, and embedment.
3.1.2 Strength : Concrete compressive strength (28-day) test results are
required to be used for pole design.
3.1.3 Tendons : The Manufacturer must provide the number and size of
pretension tendons and prestress value.
3.1.4 Reinforcement : The Manufacturer must provide the number,
length, and size of nonprestressed supplemental reinforcement.
