Step Two:
One of the downsides of sharpening has always been that if you apply a lot of sharpening,
the edges start to get “halos” around them, but Smart Sharpen's new algorithm lets you
apply a higher amount of sharpening before halos start to appear. So, how do you know
how far you can push the sharpening? Adobe recommends that you start by increasing the
Amount slider to at least 300%, and then start dragging the Radius slider to the right until
you start to see halos appear around the edges. When they appear, back the slider off by a
little bit (until the halos go away).
