Step Nine:
Remember when I said earlier that you should wait until later to apply any lens corrections
to your images because sometimes it messes up the stitching pretty significantly? Sure you
do. Well, anyway, that time is now. If you look at the image back in Step Eight, you can
see that the Colosseum kind of bows out a little bit, so let's get rid of that distortion by
going under the Filter menu and choosing Camera Raw Filter . When Camera Raw opens,
go to the Lens Corrections panel, click on the Manual tab, then drag the Distortion slider
to the right until the bowing goes away. I also noticed that the Colosseum itself seemed to
be leaning outward a bit, so I dragged the Vertical slider to the left to -3, so the outside
walls looked straight. When you're done, you can either crop in the edges (created by the
lens correction) or use Content-Aware Fill again. If you need to do any other tweaks, just
click on the Basic panel icon and make your tweaks there. Lastly, add an Unsharp Mask
and you're done. The final is shown below.
