Creating the Tone-Mapped HDR Look
In this project, we're going to create that heavily tone-mapped hyperreal look (this particu-
lar look isn't for everybody, which is why I started with the realistic HDR technique first).
If, instead, you want a hybrid, kind of a half-HDR/half-real, jump to page 174 , 'cause here
we're setting the amp on 11! (A not-so-subtle reference to the movie This Is Spinal Tap .)
This is a really quick and easy effect—just a few clicks and you're done (great for people
with attention spans like mine, who want it done now without a lot of fuss)—but I'm just
warning you now, this is the full-on, “I'm in a Harry Potter fantasy world” style of HDR
you're about to learn. Just so you know.
