Model Inputs Data Groups
The water quality main model is developed after coupling it with the 2D hydrodynamic model of the
lake. The coupling is the first step in building the water quality model. The coupling process allows
Delft3D-WAQ module to make use of the hydrodynamic conditions and parameters (velocities, water
elevations, density, salinity, vertical eddy viscosity and vertical eddy diffusivity) calculated in the
Delft3D-FLOW module.
The development of the substances list or the list of parameters to be modeled is done through using
the PLCT library as mentioned above. The same list includes all the processes associated with each
parameter. The selected substances groups and parameters are described in Table (7-1) .
