attractions. The two-day pass costs about $75 USD and covers all the major attractions in Singapore (which,
being a small city-state, is not a lot). You'll get free access to the zoo, the night safari, and the aquarium
along with others. The pass will save you about $18 USD.
How Much Money Do You Need?
Between the cheap local accommodations, street food, local buses, and even the tourist buses, your travel
costs should average out at about $25 USD per day. If you get nice accommodations or indulge in the party-
ing that is so widespread in this region, expect to spend $30-35 USD per day and up. I've done Southeast
Asia on as little as $15 USD a day staying in cheap guesthouses, eating street food, and skipping alcohol.
You can travel Southeast Asia with very little money and have it last a very long time.
If you start heading to very touristy places or some of the more expensive islands in Thailand, your daily
average will go up a lot and you'll start to get close to $40 USD per day. Flying also shoots up your costs
if you aren't getting a deal. But outside those exceptions, travel in Asia is incredibly cheap, so if you are
spending a lot of money, you're doing something wrong.
