May Day Lei Contest & Fair LEI

1980s, the annual Kauaʻi Museum Lei Contest on May 1 spawns legendary floral art.
Love Life Creative Festival HIP-HOP

and break dancers converge for good-natured competition and togetherness to promote a
drug- and suicide-free Kauaʻi. It's sponsored by Kuga, a non-profit arts collective in Ka-
laheo, and held in mid-May at Lihuʻe's War Memorial Convention Center.
Kauaʻi Polynesian Festival CULTURAL

rockin' competitions in expert Tahitian, Maori, Samoan and hula dancing, plus food
booths and cultural workshops, held at various locations.
