Cycling & Mountain Biking
There are more than 40 miles of trails on Molokaʻi that are good for mountain biking: the
roads of the thick Molokaʻi Forest Reserve ( Click here ) are prime, as are trails on the ar-
id West End, many with ocean views. As for cycling, pretty much all of Molokaʻi's
paved highways would make for a scenic ride, especially the trip to the Halawa Valley.
Molokaʻi Bicycle ( Click here ), located in Kauna-kakai, is the best place to go for all
things cycling.
Fishing
The sportfishing is excellent in the waters off Molokaʻi, especially around the fish-filled
Penguin Banks off the southwestern tip. Bait casting is good on the southern and western
shores. Boats dock and leave from the Kaunakakai Wharf. Rates run at about $25 per
