11am-midnight) From the seafood burger to the kalua pork pizza, pub grub takes a
Hawaiian twist at this cavernous brewpub. The company, honored as one of Hawaii's top
green businesses in 2008, implements sustainable practices where it can. The Bikini
Blonde lager, Big Swell IPA, Mana Wheat and Coconut Porter are always on tap, supple-
mented by eight to 10 seasonal and specialty brews.
TOP OF CHAPTER
Napili
Napili is a tranquil bayside community tucked between the posh grounds of Kapalua to
the north and the hustle and bustle of Kaʻanapali to the south. For an oceanfront retreat
that's a bit more affordable - but not too far from the action - we highly recommend this
sun-kissed center of calm.
Sights
The deep golden sands and gentle curves of Napili Beach offer good beachcombing at
any time and excellent swimming and snorkeling when it's calm. Look for green turtles
hanging out by the rocky southern shore. Big waves occasionally make it into the bay in
winter, and when they do it's time to break out the skimboards - the steep drop at the
beach provides a perfect run into the surf.
Sleeping
Napili Bay is surrounded by older condos and small, mellow resorts.
