The folks at this open-air burger shack keep the menu short and the quality
high. Choose from one of three burgers: grass-fed Maui beef, fresh ground turkey or veg-
gie (garbanzo beans, lentils, brown rice, spices). Fries, salad and decadent toppings
round out the sides. The $4 burger special, from 3pm to 5pm, is one of the best deals go-
ing.
One quibble? Make 'em bigger! Find them in the courtyard off Front St just south of
Lahainaluna Rd. Cash only.

Named for Maui's famous green turtles, this
stylish new venture from restaurateur Mark Ellman is wowing crowds with expansive
ocean views and a savory array of wood-fired pizzas, out-of-this world salads and
comfort-food dishes. And we haven't even mentioned the fish (from Hawaii, the Pacific
Northwest and East Coast). Beer connoisseurs can choose from more than 50 brews.
As you dine, scan the water beside the rocky coast - you might just glimpse a green
turtle.

Star Noodle has quickly become one of Lahaina's most popular restaur-
ants, and it's garnering national exposure after chef Sheldon Simeon's appearance on
Season 10 of
Top Chef,
in which he was one of three finalists. Inside this sleek noodle
shop, diners can nibble from an eclectic array of Asian-fusion share plates. Those seek-
ing heartier fare can dive into the exquisitely flavored noodle dishes, which include gar-
lic noodles, kim chee ramen and a local saimin (Spam included).
A central communal table keeps the ambiance lively.
