Volcano Winery
WINE
MAP

;
35 Piʻi Mauna Dr; 10am-5:30pm)
Drawing on six types of grapes
and other infusions of flavor, and planting in volcanic soil, the unique Volcano Winery
moves beyond traditional vineyards to offer a suitably creative approach to its subject.
Tea wine, mac-nut honey wine, and guava-grape wine are all offered.
The jaboticaba berry (which grows directly on the branches of the tree and takes 12
years to mature) forms 25% of Volcano Red and 50% of Volcano Blush. Whether or not
such blends are successful, they make this attractive tasting room and shop a magnet for
oenophiles and the layperson alike. There is also a free tour at 10am daily.
