Niaulani Rain Forest Tour WALKING TOUR

Sat) A free half-mile guided nature walk through the Niaulani rainforest in
Volcano. Covers the ecological importance and protection of one of the last old-growth
koa and ohia forests, traditional uses of plants, and the role of birds in the forest. Great
for families. Run by the Niaulani campus of the Volcano Art Center.
Hawaii Photo Retreat PHOTOGRAPHY

minute looking at Ken and Mary Goodrich's work reveals two world-class photograph-
ers. So the opportunity to see the Big Island through their eyes - and lens - is a rare treat.
These one- to three-day retreats take participants into the field to photograph some of the
island's finest subjects.
Personal instruction in camera skills, composition, Photoshop and Lightroom
provided. Involves moderate hiking. Meals and transportation not included.

Volcano Village Artists Hui ARTS

ing this annual hui , or gathering, a seven-studio tour on Thanksgiving weekend that at-
tracts people from around the island and beyond. It's a delightful and eclectic smorgas-
bord of fiber work, wood scupture, ceramics, woodblock prints, glass blowing, photo-
graphy and more.
