The Orchard Cottage makes an ideal honeymoon spot. The two-bedroom unit is great

) Located three houses back from the lookout, this private and cozy studio doesn't have
cliff views (except from the adjacent yard) but does offer a nice four-poster bed and
plenty of tranquillity. Laundry access too.

) What else can we say? This is the greatest vacation
rental on the Big Island. The completely private 5-bedroom house sits atop a 600ft bluff
with a panoramic view of the Waipi'o cliffs, Maui and a vast expanse of ocean. Fes-
tooned with three large cupolas, the house itself is like a sexy temple, bursting with color
and evocative artworks inside and out.
Loads of covered outdoor space harbor alluring couches. The knockout master bed-
room with attached office, dressing room, bathroom and outdoor lava rock shower is the
palace within the palace. The expansive kitchen is a chef's delight, and could have fed
Captain Cook's crew. The pool replicates a tropical jungle swimming hole, replete with
waterfall, lava tube slide (which will keep the kids entertained all day) and beach entry.
