Center MAP GOOGLE MAP (65-1158 Mamalahoa Hwy) and Parker Sq MAP

to gift shops; Parker Sq aims for the more discriminating, upscale gift buyer.
Gallery of Great Things GALLERY

( 885-7706; www.galleryofgreatthingshawaii.com ; 65-1279 Kawaihae Rd, Parker Sq;
9am-5.30pm Mon-Sat, 10am-4pm Sun) Is it a museum, a gallery, a trinket shop, or an antique
store? This perfectly named shop is all of these, and more than enough to keep you pok-
ing about for hours amidst one great find after another.
Multicolored feather masks? Secondhand kimonos? Infrared photographs? Butterfly
art? The owner has filled a cottage with items cherry-picked from around the vast Pacific
region, each with a special something, a puzzling uniqueness or extraordinary flair that
makes it great. If you have any weakness for curios or exotica, or simply good art, they
will have to drag you away kicking and screaming.
Parker School Farmers Market MARKET
MAP GOOGLE MAP
(65-1224 Lindsey Rd; 8am-1pm Sat) Why Waimea has two farmers markets on the same
day is a mystery, but this one edges out its rival, the Waimea Farmers Market. In the cen-
ter of town, behind Parker School, it is more convenient, and attracts more varied parti-
cipants, including a mobile bread oven. Look for the white tents.
Vendors emphasize organic produce and specialty items: fresh eggs, herbs and plants,
local meat and honey, beautiful flowers and plenty of cooked food.
