Waimea Ocean Film Festival FILM

Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival JAPANESE FESTIVAL

Dark pink blossoms are greeted with taiko drumming, mochi (sticky rice cake) pounding
and other Japanese cultural events on the first Saturday in February.
Fourth of July Rodeo RODEO

over 45 years of ranching, this event has cattle roping, bull riding and other hoopla.
Round-Up Rodeo RODEO

sion $5) This whip-cracking event is held on the first Monday in September after the
Labor Day weekend.
Waimea Paniolo Parade and Ho'olaule'a PARADE
( 885-3110; www.waimeatown.org ) This mid-September parade of authentic paniolo , is-
land princesses and beautiful steeds begins at historic Church Row Park and makes its
way through Waimea Town, followed by a fair in Waimea Park that features Hawaiian
foods, games, arts and crafts, products and live entertainment.
Christmas Twilight Parade CHRISTMAS PARADE
In early December, the town gets into the Kalikimaka (Christmas) spirit with a block
party.
