ner $14-28; lunch 11am-9pm Mon-Fri, 5-9pm Sat & Sun; ) Jackie's is one of the original
Big Island restaurants that turned evolved casual Hawaii grinds (cuisine) into a high-end
dining experience ensconsed in Polynesian kitsch. The food (think glazed short ribs,
wasabi-seared ahi and killer fresh fish tacos) is pricey but served with aloha, making this
place a local night-out favorite.
Kids are king here, getting their own menu, crayons for creating on the 'tablecloths'
and tours of the walk-in freezer.

certified-organic brew) and Suncharged Pale Ale, made using solar power. Either at the
bright bar (closes an hour after the kitchen) or on the torch-lit patio, diners enjoy meal-
sized salads, juicy burgers and thin-crust pizzas from a stone oven. Make reservations.
