air oceanfront bar sprawled beneath a century-old kiawe tree simply has no doors to lock.
A sophisticated crowd gathers for sunset cocktails, Pacific panoramas, live Hawaiian
music and solo hula dancing by former Miss Hawaii beauty queens.
Kuhio Beach Hula Show LIVE MUSIC, HULA

Duke Kahanamoku statue with the sounding of a conch shell and torch lighting after sun-
set. Then lay out your beach mat on the grassy hula mound for an authentic Hawaiian
music and dance show. It's full of aloha, and afterward the amateur performers often
hang around the stage to chat and pose for photos with tourists.

music usually 6-10pm Tue-Sun) At this low-key oceanfront bar (no preppy resort wear re-
quired), let yourself be mesmerized by Hawaiian musical duos and lithe hula dancers.
Even if you don't dig who's playing that night, the signature Royal Mai Tai still packs a
punch and romantic views of the breaking surf extend all the way down to Diamond
Head.

night, live music usually 12:30-1:30pm & 6-9pm) Inside one of Waikiki's historical hotels, soak
up the sounds of classical and contemporary Hawaiian musicians playing underneath the
banyan tree where the mid-20th-century Hawaii Calls radio program was broadcast
worldwide. Solo hula dancers usually perform from 6pm nightly.
