Chinatown landmark is a major venue for dance, music and theater. Performances in-
clude live Hawaiian bands and international touring acts to modern dance, contemporary
plays and film festivals. The theater also hosts the annual Ka Himeni ʻAna contest in
which famous Hawaiian falsetto-style singers compete.

performing-arts center hosts symphonic and chamber-music concerts, opera perform-
