brewery imagined by the founder of the once beloved, now defunct brewery in Waimea.
Here he brews 10 beers, including two hoppy, high-alcohol IPAs, their lauded South Pa-
cific Brown with a roasted malt character, and they have wheat and porter varietals too.
They also serve pub grub.
Port Allen Grill & Bar PUB
( 335-3188; 4353 Waialo Rd #7a; 11am-10pm) Every port needs a pub, and this one
broils fresh fish and serves burgers along with tofu wraps and salads for veg heads. More
importantly, they pour a dozen beers, mix a mean mai tai and offer a lychee martini too.

Kauai Chocolate Company FOOD

the scent of chocolate, caramel, fruits and nuts. The best seller is the Happy Honu , a

truffles, brownies, fudge and all sort of other trouble in this glorious grassroots operation.
