) For moderate spenders who want walkable beach access, here's the
ticket. Of the 70 units, half are managed by the on-site Parrish agency. They're comfort-
able, with full kitchens, two or more private lanai and washer-dryer. Not all units have
wi-fi, but they all may access the property's tennis and paddle ball courts.

) This aging beauty is still a hot property because it's among the rare accommoda-
tions flanking a swimmable beach. Of course, only a few units actually sit on the beach.
Units are comfy, with fully equipped kitchen, living room and large lanai, but furnishings
can be worn.
It's managed by four different management companies, which can be confusing. On-
site agencies include Outrigger and Castle Resorts, but Kiahuna Beachside manages the
best beachfront properties.

) The 394-room Sheraton offers a prime stretch of swimmable, sunset-perfect
beach. Originally built in the 1960s and completely redone after the 1992 hurricane,
rooms (and elevators) are dated but spacious with canopy beds blessed with plush linens,
and though we don't love cottage cheese ceilings, the oceanfront rooms have amazing,
reach-out-and-touch-the-sea views.

) Poʻipu's glamour gal is 602-rooms strong and loves to show off, with a soaring lobby,
tropical gardens, huge spa, world-renowned golf course, oceanfront restaurants and me-

ings, flat-screen TVs, marble entryway and bath, and rain shower heads. Adjacent Ship-
