Prince Kuhio Celebration of the Arts

March, held in honor of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaʻole, who was born in 1872 on the
site of Prince Kuhio Park. Events include canoe races, the sharing and explanation of
Hawaiian proverbs from local elders, dance performance, concerts and even some ama-
teur boxing matches.

mid-August and mid-October, you'll find handcrafted items, Hawaiian music and local
