Diving
The Poʻipu coast offers the majority of the island's best dive sites, including Sheraton
Caverns , a series of partially collapsed lava tubes 10ft or more in height, with shafts of
glowing sunlight illuminating their dim, atmospheric interior; General Store , with
sharks, octopuses, eels and the remains of an 1892 shipwreck; and Nukumoi Point MAP

Dive boats and catamaran cruises usually depart from Kukuiʻula Harbor, 0.5 miles east
of Spouting Horn. In addition to the dive outfits listed here, consider nearby Ocean Quest
Fathom Five Divers ( Click here ) .

Koloa Landing SNORKELING
MAP GOOGLE MAP
Koloa Landing, at the mouth of Waikomo Stream, was once Kauaʻi's largest port.
Nineteenth-century farmers used it to ship Kauaʻi-grown sugar, oranges and sweet pota-
toes, and it was the third-busiest whaling port among the Hawaiian Islands, surpassed
only by Honolulu and Lahaina, Maui.
