While 'tavern' might be a misnomer, revered chef Roy Yamaguchi's newest
place is a worthy diversion. They do an ahi nicoise and steamed fish in hot-and-sour
broth at lunch, a delicious braised short rib and shrimp and grits at dinner, as well as an
addictive macadamia nut pesto flatbread anytime. And don't sleep on the spicy, gingery
fish soup.
