Out and Dairy Queen, you'll enjoy this drive-in. Try the 'old fashioned' (cheddar, onions
and sprouts) or the 'local boy' (cheese, pineapple and teriyaki sauce). Add crispy thin
fries and melt-in-your-mouth onion rings. Burgers come smothered in mayo, so you may
want to order yours dry. They do fish or shrimp and chips too.
Anahola Farmers Market MARKET
(Kuhio Hwy; 9am-6pm Fri-Sun) More of a permanent weekend market than the traditional
farmers market you might be used to. Goods vary but you can usually expect papaya,
pineapple, greens, fresh fish and more.
Getting There & Away
The Kauaʻi Bus ( Click here ) stops hourly on Kuhio Hwy across from the post office at
the bottom of the hill.

Koʻolau Road
Koʻolau Rd is a peaceful, scenic loop drive through rich green pastures, dotted with soar-
ing white egrets, organic permaculture farms and bright wildflowers. It makes a nice di-
version and is the way to reach untouristed Moloaʻa Beach or Larsen's Beach (no facilit-
ies at either). Koʻolau Rd connects with Kuhio Hwy 0.5 miles north of mile marker 16
and again 180 yards south of mile marker 20.
For a quick bite, Moloaʻa Sunrise Fruit Stand ( 822-1441; cnr Kuhio Hwy & Koʻolau Rd;
juices & smoothies $3-6.25, mains $5.50-7; 7:30am-6pm Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm Sun) offers tasty
smoothies, fish tacos, burritos and beautiful fresh fruit. It's basically the most appealing
roadside stand you can imagine. They even have fresh baked chocolate chip macadamia
cookies for sale.
Beaches
