3D Light Tools
This set of tools lets you control the rotation, pan, and slide for the light
sources applied to the model, which is covered in detail in Chapter 9.
3D Materials Tools
The 3D materials tools include the 3D Materials Drop tool and the 3D Select
Material tool. The 3D Material Drop tool lets you apply selected materials
directly to the object by clicking on the object. You can also copy materials
from a speciic part on the model and apply them to another path, as you
will see in the textures and materials section in Chapter 8. You can also use
the 3D Select Material tool to select a speciic material directly by clicking on
it in the model.
Editing 3D Objects Using the 2D Tools
The 3D tools are not the only tools that allow you to edit and work with the
3D object in Photoshop. Some 2D tools that we used to use with 2D layers
can edit the 3D object. As many of us are already familiar with Adobe
drawing tools, I will focus in this section on how these tools work with
3D objects.
